Customer:
Philips Healthcare is a leading supplier of innovative technology solutions in the medical field, dedicated to providing solutions designed around the needs of customers and patients. One of its key business areas is Imaging Systems of which MRI scanners are a substantial part. Philips MRI Scanners are marketed worldwide to dynamic healthcare environments.

Extensive start-up training is included with the purchase of a new Philips system and is uniquely suited to the product, clinical requirements, and customer environment.

Problem
Since the training programs were locally developed all over the world for similar systems and situations, the investment in this development was not profitable. It was also a challenge for Philips Healthcare to keep track of the quality of the used training materials and the outcome of the trainings.

 

Challenge
TTA was invited by Philips Healthcare to provide a training-development-program that improved the cost-effectiveness, increased the consistency of the training-materials globally and that would lead to improved outcome of the trainings.

Solution
TTA came up with a strategy for central development of the training-materials that still included input from all the modality-specialists around the globe. TTA developed all required materials for local-rollout of the training in a blended-learning format that combined e-Learning with Instructor Led Training. It included an easy-to-use Instructor’s guide, e-Learning modules and a configurable presentation-starter with all required presentations that also contained instructor’s notes for use during the local delivery.

Result
The development-program and resulting materials were very well received by the Philips Healthcare community and are used globally. TTA is currently working on a follow-up for the developed materials, which is set-up to provide training materials that allow the modality-specialists worldwide to train their customers to optimise the workflow, maximize the use of advanced system features and capabilities and instill confidence in the quality of exams.
