Fisker chooses TTA International as European training service provider
• Technical introduction of Fisker Karma kicks off cooperation between TTA and the European Fisker distributors
• Efficient Blended Learning programme in combination with Web-Based and Instructor-Based training
Dordrecht (NL), May 2011 – TTA International and the European Fisker distributors have recently signed an agreement establishing ties between the two companies and naming TTA as European training provider for Fisker's Karma 4-seater GT. In the short term, this cooperation will directly result in the development and implementation of the European After-sales training for the revolutionary, electrically driven Fisker Karma.
The cooperation of TTA International and the European Fisker distributors officially started May 1st. Prior to this official start date, TTA had already initiated preparations of the European After-sales training for the Karma to be implemented in the European Fisker organisation in the months of May and June.
Blended Learning: Cost efficiency thanks to establishment of a sound knowledge base
TTA International delivers the Karma After-sales training on the basis of the 'blended learning' principle - a combination of Web-Based Training and traditional class-room instruction. This allows Fisker to limit time expenditure for training and ensures that all trainees will have absorbed the necessary basic knowledge via Web-Based Training before starting Instructor-Based Training.
In detail, the training programme for the Fisker Karma consists of a 'Train The Trainer' session, a Web-Based Training and 3 to 4 days of Instructor-Based Training for European technicians, with a supplementary 1 day training for the new Fisker diagnostic tool. The classic instructor-based training will be held at the TTA International Training centre at Kontich, Belgium.
TTA International is especially proud of the cooperation with the European distributors of Fisker. “The Fisker brand and specifically the Karma are beyond doubt an inspiration within the car industry,” explained Ron Goedhart, Director Sales at TTA International. “Our capabilities to provide a well-balanced mix of Web-Based and Instructor-Based Trainings within the scope of Fisker's training plan was certainly a key factor in Fisker's decision to appoint TTA International as official training provider for the European Fisker organisation.”
“Fisker produces environmentally sound and responsible automobiles which epitomise style, passion and performance,” declared Martin Hirt, After-Sales Manager of Fisker Automobile AG. “The complex technologies behind the Fisker Karma demand a profound knowledge of our European dealer organisation. With TTA International we have chosen a know-how partner with an impressive track record in the international car industry. With their "Blended Learning" programme TTA opened a cost efficient alternative to provide a thorough training for our personnel within the shortest time possible. Better yet: TTA offers the know-how to develop a custom-tailored training programme fit for such an advanced e-drive car as the Karma 4-seater GT."
Fisker collaborates with four official distributors in Europe, each of which is responsible for a number of countries:
Fisker Automobile AG Switzerland, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Hungary & Poland
GP Supercars Italy, San Marino, Vatican State, Croatia, Serbia, Austria, Monaco, Slovenia, Malta and Slovakia
